The Daily Wire is looking to add an Assistant Video Editor to our Post-Production team! The Assistant Video Editor will assist the Editors of various Daily Wire shows in building assembly cuts, pulling and editing clips and breakouts as well as editing short-form content for various social media platforms, and more, ensuring that the high-quality standards of the Daily Wire brand are consistently met. This position requires sharp attention to detail and the ability to stay on-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. If you have what it takes, we want to hear from you!
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Media Management and Editing Support
Assist Video Editors by pulling and editing media for playback on daily podcasts, syncing audio and video assets, pulling selects, and managing assembly cuts for field recorded projects. Build assembly edits for Video Editors and finish final cuts for various edits. Create lower thirds for show interviews using After Effects
 
Media Workflow Optimization
Convert, transcode, and compress media for post-production workflow. Ensure all necessary elements are present and edited in a professional and clean manner that fits in with the podcast structure and meets the high-quality standards of the Daily Wire brand. Assist and fill in for other Daily Wire Assistant Video Editors as needed.
 
Quality Assurance and Brand Consistency
Quality check each daily podcast, original video content, and promotional content produced by the Production and Marketing teams and ensure that there is the correct written format for titles and descriptions, spelling, and export settings. Upload each video to all required platforms and fill in titles and descriptions appropriately, create SEO in the required time, and add/change thumbnails as needed
 
Communication and Compliance
Maintain consistent communication with the Production and Marketing teams to ensure accurate and speedy uploads. Stay up to date with all changes to department requirement. Complete and submit daily project logs in accordance with Bentkey Project Log Policy.

Other Duties as Assigned
Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate.
 
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
 
Education
High School Diploma or GED.
 
Demonstrated Skills/Abilities/Competencies
- Basic Mac computer understanding and skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud apps, particularly Premiere Pro and Photoshop
- Knowledge of digital media including codec, image types, resolutions, and frame rates (preferred but not required)
- Adobe After Effects proficiency (preferred but not required)
- Ability to maintain multiple ongoing projects at once
- Ability to apply notes given from management
- Maintain a positive attitude that promotes a healthy work environment
- An openness to and great attitude about receiving feedback
- Interest in production and an eagerness to learn about the industry
- Highly self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude
- G Suite proficiency

Compensation: Dependent upon experience
