We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced media professional to join our Ad Revenue team as Director of Sales Operations. In this role, you will act as the glue between Sales, Sales Planning, Client Success teams, other internal stakeholder teams, and external clients to optimize revenue generation, enhance operational efficiencies, and drive sustainable *sales growth* across audio and digital products. This role requires a unique blend of analytical prowess, operational expertise, and leadership skills to streamline processes, implement scalable solutions, and foster collaboration across departments.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and enhance existing revenue operations processes across pre- and post-sales, identifying areas for improvement and implementing scalable solutions.
- Analyze the sales pipeline, conversion rates, and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential bottlenecks.
- Act as a bridge between departments, streamlining communication, and optimizing workflows to maximize revenue generation.
- Provide actionable insights to improve revenue generation, pricing strategies, and customer retention efforts.
- Understand the evolving suite of ad products and ad tech, collaborating with marketing and product teams on new ideas for expanding the product suite.
- Manage rate cards in partnership with the Sales VP and FP&A team.
- Develop onboarding and training programs and provide coaching to sales and customer success teams to improve their efficiency and *sales effectiveness*.
- Produce regular reports for leadership.
Experience & Requirements
- 12+ years in Audio and/or Digital Media Sales, preferably in an operations role.
- Confidence in operating digital systems, including Simplecast, AdsWizz, Boostr, Podscribe, Google Ad Manager, and other analytics tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of Programmatic Sales.
- Demonstrated understanding of Attribution solutions and processes.
- Ability to create and synthesize datasets, turning insights into action. Check and recheck data to inform decision-making.
- Interest in and/or familiarity with the political and editorial news landscapes is a plus.
