The successful candidate is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department's strategic direction, content development, and the daily operations related to our DW+ and DW Kids platforms. This position plays a pivotal role in growing the Company’s audience and distribution channels as well as cultivating and preserving the Company’s reputation. The Head of Studios will work closely with cross-functional teams, industry partners, and stakeholders to drive the department's profitability. This leader must inspire and encourage the team’s passion for creating engaging content that delights and retains our current audience and that reaches and entertains new target audiences. The successful candidate will expertly lead the department’s infrastructure, teams, and financing required to achieve the studio’s annual goals.

Required Experience:

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Media or a related field preferred.

Executive Leadership Experience
5-7 years’ experience in executive leadership roles, preferably within the media and entertainment industry at EVP, SVP, or VP positions. Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions, manage teams, and drive the division's success by setting clear goals, and fostering a collaborative, innovative work environment.

Media Industry Knowledge  
In-depth understanding of the media and entertainment industry. Up-to-date knowledge of trends, market demands, and emerging technologies that can enhance the production and distribution of content.

Content Creation and Development
Expertise in creating engaging (and age-appropriate) content across various media platforms, such as television, streaming services, digital media, and interactive experiences.

Business Acumen & Ethics
A solid foundation in business and financial management to oversee the department's budgets, funding, revenue streams, and growth strategies. Proven ability to manage/mitigate risk and ensure that all content complies with relevant regulations, ratings, and child protection laws (if applicable), while maintaining the highest ethical and responsible content standards (especially as related to the Company’s DW Kids platform).

Team Management
Ability to lead and inspire industry professionals, including content creators, producers, writers, animators, and other staff members. Experience fostering a collaborative and creative environment.

Track Record of Success
Demonstrated track record of success in previous leadership role(s), with measurable achievements and a proven ability to deliver results.
